Ted Weissberg

Ted Weissberg is a senior at Roosevelt University in Chicago and receiving his degree in criminal justice. During his time in College he’s worked with local and national hip hop artists along with influential educators to create Row Cypher. Row Cypher uses performing arts to bridge racial and income gaps across Chicago through open mics, show cases, concerts, and community programs.

He is a spoken word artist himself and has performed around the city of Chicago and in Wisconsin, Ohio, Kentucky, and Canada. Ted has been commissioned by the state of Illinoise to use Row Cypher events to help reach youth about the dangers of drunk driving, has been invited into Chicago public elementary schools to teach their students self esteem and learning through spoken word, and will be sending Row Cypher on national tours this year, with the West Coast tour including a concert in Colorado.
